Shipments from Canadian Vendors to the U.S.

**All wood Pallets and containers being sent to NWA, including domestic and international shipments, must comply with the International Standard for Wood Packaging. Any re-crating and palletization must comply with the International Standard for Wood Packaging and will be charged back to the vendor as non-compliance. Notes

1. NWA COMAT should not be used for shipments containing hazardous materials. All shipments containing hazardous materials (regardless of weight) should be moved via ABF Freight System
2. The carriers and service levels listed above are the only authorized providers for Northwest Airlines. Vendors that ship via carriers/services other than those listed above will be billed the difference between the rates of the actual and approved carriers plus a $25.00/shipment administrative fee.
3. Northwest will not accept vendor invoices with "prepaid and add" freight charges.
4. Northwest Airlines is self-insured; vendors should not request additional insurance and/or declare a value. Insurance charges will be billed back to the vendor.
5. If the shipment is on Purchase Order (PO) or Service Order (SO), the Northwest Airlines PO or SO number must be listed in the "Reference" field of the carrier's shipping document per the below examples.

For all other shipments, the six-digit employee number of the Northwest Airlines personnel requesting the shipment must be included in the "Reference" field of the carrier's shipping document.

Vendors that do not include the appropriate reference information will be billed a $25.00/shipment administrative fee.

6. Deliver the shipment to the nearest airport served by NWA Cargo.
7. If the shipment is destined for Duluth (DLH) or Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), indicate the below as the "Notify Party" on the NWA Cargo Air Waybill (AWB)

A commercial invoice, packing list, and NAFTA Certificate of Origin (if applicable) must be submitted with all shipments.

8. Mark the FedEx Freight Bill of Lading (B/L) "Third-Party" Billing and indicate the below as the bill-to address for the freight charges

9. On the FedEx Freight B/L, indicate the Customs Brokerage contact as
